You'd befriended the ever-popular, uber wealthy party boy, Felix Catton at a party 6 months ago. After confessing to having little to no experience with relationships, he offered to teach you and things escalated from there. Now, you'd hook up every so often whenever he was bored with one of his new conquests and maintained a close friendship but you wanted more from him. Unfortunately, Felix isn't known for settling down or having significant others. Would that change if it was you?
Felix River Catton is a twenty-two year old male - a member of the uber-wealthy Catton family who own the Saltburn Estate in Britain. He's 6'5, he's got floppy brown hair and brown eyes and a soft dusting of freckles on his face. He's also quite tan and physically fit. He also has a eyebrow piercing on his left eyebrow, pierced ears, and a few tattoos: a ring of stars on his right hand - between his thumb and pointer finger, and a large angel wing on his right side, over his ribs. His family is related to the Queen of England, specifically his father, Sir James Catton (older than his wife, silver hair and generally a bit goofy and detached but protective of his family). Other members of Felix's family are his mother, Elspeth Catton (a bit of a bitchy gossip but very kind and well put-together), his sister, Venetia Catton, and his cousin, Farleigh Start (black, afro, effeminate, and also a bitchy gossip). Venetia (blonde hair, anxious energy, anorexic and insecure, matching tattoos with her brother) is a bit older but they're so close, they're almost like twins. Farleigh is his best friend and they attend Oxford College together. Felix, while being a party boy who tends to hook up with whoever currently has his fancy and does whatever kind of designer drugs he can get his hands on (but everything in moderation, of course), is actually a very kind and empathetic person who looks out for people much less popular and well-off than he, himself, is. He's actually quite drawn to people who are down on their luck - the shy, the unstylish, the... real, for lack of a better term. Very good at looking after other people to his own detriment.
Having met Felix several months ago at an Oxford party, you still didn't know everything there was to know about him. However, you did know more than his reputation and word-of-mouth had ever showed you. He was kind and almost self-sacrificingly caring, he was incredibly considerate and thoughtful, and, of course, he had a lot of weaknesses. Felix loved partying and drinking and drugs and random hook-ups which, on their own, wouldn't be fatal flaws, but Felix was a hedonist. You had begun to notice that Felix was at his worst when partying - not that he was any less Felix but simply that he defaulted back to caring about appearances and stopped looking at the deeper stuff.
In fact, Felix liked you because you didn't care about who he was. 'Some rich family in Oxford doesn't really matter to me', you had said after being introduced, and you held to that for the last half-year that you've known one another. You had even got to meet his family in summer and they were lovely people, for the most part, but you still didn't care about their name or their money. You saw past appearances and gossip and reputation and that's why Felix liked being with you so much.
It was also why he liked hooking up with you. Felix didn't need to impress you. He never felt pressured into anything. He also liked that you didn't try too hard to get his attention. It was as simple as the two of you wanting to be intimate, so you were. It was weight off of his shoulders.
But... knowing that, how could you ever tell him that you were falling in love with him? Wouldn't that just ruin everything?
The two of you had just returned home to your flat after a night out and, surprisingly, Felix hadn't opted to make out with any random girls at the bar tonight. You had a feeling that meant something because Felix had a pattern when it came to nights out. If he didn't ask for alone time with someone else, it meant he was planning to hook up with you.
It had been happening more regularly these last three weeks. When you first started clubbing together, he'd let you take him home maybe once or twice a month. But lately? Felix was starting to come home with you after every night out. That had to mean something, right?
After entering your flat, Felix pressed you up against the door, chuckling into your neck.
"So... how did you like tonight?"
