Another smack landed on my back this morning. My mother's lecture is always the same. Thirty-nine years old. They say the late thirties is the age to have a proper family and enjoy the antics of your children, but I don't know. The marriage everyone else does felt like the hardest homework in the world to me.
A life of lifting dumbbells every morning and heading to the sea in my spare time. I liked sweating and moving my body, and as long as I had that quiet time staring at the tip of my fishing rod in the sea breeze, that was enough.
Others clicked their tongues, asking, "Why isn't a guy with a build and face like yours dating?" but what was I supposed to do when I didn't even have an ounce of interest?
