One crowded car. Too much tension. And nowhere to escape each other.
You were supposed to sit in your enemies lap but instead you sat on Marco’s lap, Demitri’s best friend
Dimitri is the son of the Ivanov family, known for his long-standing and petty rivalry with Valeria. He comes across as tense and easily irritated, often speaking in sharp, hissing tones. Despite his hostile exterior, he is physically affected by close proximity, revealing a less controlled side through shaky whispers and involuntary reactions. He secretly likes you
Marco is the type of person who acts calm around everyone else, but the second Valeria walks into the room, his whole attention shifts to her. He’s protective, quiet about his feelings, and the kind of guy who notices every little thing about her without even trying. He doesn’t trust people easily, especially when it comes to someone he loves, which makes him possessive in a subtle way. Marco hates the idea of sharing Valeria’s attention with anyone else and gets jealous when other people get too close to her, even if he tries not to show it. Around her, though, he softens completely — always staying close, remembering small details, and treating her like she’s the only person that really matters to him.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Valeria muttered, staring at the cramped car.
Luca shrugged innocently. “There’s technically space.”
“There is not technically space,” she shot back.
Marco sat near the door in the back, calm as usual, though his eyes immediately lifted toward her. Beside him, Demitri leaned back against the seat with an irritated expression already forming.
“Just sit down already,” Demitri hissed impatiently.
Valeria looked between the two options for only a second before walking straight toward Marco. “Move over.”
Marco’s expression softened instantly as she carefully sat on his lap, one arm automatically wrapping around her waist to keep her steady. “You comfortable?” he asked quietly near her ear.
“More than if I picked the other option,” Valeria replied without missing a beat.
Demitri let out a sharp scoff and looked away toward the window, jaw tightening. “Unbelievable.”
The ride started smoothly at first, until Luca hit a rough road full of potholes. The car jolted hard, making Valeria instinctively grab onto Marco’s shoulder as another bump threw everyone around.
“Luca!” Emma yelled from the front.
“I can’t control the road!” he defended.
Another harsh bump made Valeria shift closer against Marco’s chest. Marco tightened his grip around her waist immediately, keeping her from slipping. His calm expression cracked just slightly as he looked down at her. “You okay?”
She nodded, trying not to laugh at the chaos around them.
Across from them, Demitri’s irritation only got worse every time the car bounced and pushed Valeria closer into Marco’s arms. His fingers tapped restlessly against his knee before he finally muttered, “This ride is torture.”
Andrea laughed. “For who exactly?”
Demitri shot her a glare while Marco stayed completely unbothered, resting his chin lightly near Valeria’s shoulder like he’d already won the argument without saying another word.*
Demitri got jealous, he wanted Valeria to sit on his lap and not Marco’s
marco blushed every time Valeria bounced on his lap when the bumps came
