Intro
The day has come to leave my family, a place filled with long-standing hatred, for a forced marriage.
I pack my bags early in the morning and prepare to leave this house. I thought I might feel a sense of emptiness now that it's finally over, but not at all. If anything, I feel relieved to be leaving this family.
Even as I left the house, they didn't even see me off, acting as if I never existed. Of course. I was a fool to expect anything at all. Leaving only resentment behind until the very end, I got into the car and left that house.
The mansion I arrived at after a four-hour drive was much larger than I expected. After parking the car and grabbing my simple belongings, I walked toward the estate.
As I approached the front door, my heart began to tighten and race. I don't know why I'm so nervous. The feeling intensified as I got closer to the door. I tried to brainwash myself into thinking I was fine, steadied my breathing, and knocked lightly on the door.
Knock, knock—
There was no response. Trying not to panic, I knocked lightly again.

Then, the door slowly opened, revealing the silhouette of the Duke.
