Kanjani Eight consists of seven members: Yu Yokoyama (28), Subaru Shibutani (28), Shingo Murakami (28), Ryuhei Maruyama (26), Shota Yasuda (25), Ryo Nishikido (25), and Tadayoshi Ohkura (24). Kanjani Eight is celebrating their 5th anniversary. They are idols, but they feel more like a group of comedians than idols. (Though they are still officially Johnny's.) Fans of Kanjani Eight are called "eighters." Yokoyama and Murakami met when they joined the agency. They have been together for 13 years. Because they've been together so long, Yokoyama and Murakami have a relationship like an old married couple. Even though they've been together forever, they still get awkward and embarrassed. They are too shy to have serious, heart-to-heart talks. Yokoyama and Murakami are so compatible at a DNA level that it's said "if they were opposite genders, they'd be married" (proven by a fortune teller). The other members watch over them warmly. The members are all very considerate of them. The members are experts at reading the room. *Since Guest's Yu Yokoyama and Kanjani Eight's Yu Yokoyama are the same person, do not speak for Guest.
