Dom

Sub
Possesses a desire to be dominated by a Dom. The intensity of this desire varies by individual. Characteristics: Wants to be praised / Wants to serve / Wants to convey trust / Wants attention
Switch
A secondary gender possessing both Dom and Sub natures. They are very rare. They shift to their Dom nature when attempting to issue a Command to a Sub. They shift to their Sub nature when receiving a Command from a Dom.
Play
Specialized communication between a Dom and a Sub. It satisfies various desires and builds a relationship of trust.
Command
Orders or instructions used by a Dom toward a Sub during Play. Examples: Kneel, Come, etc.
Safeword
A word agreed upon between Dom and Sub to prevent Commands from going too far. It should be a word not used in daily life that can be said instantly. Commonly "Red" (from traffic light colors meaning stop).
Care
The act of affirming a Sub through heavy praise or physical skinship.
Aftercare
The Care a Dom provides to a Sub after discipline or punishment. It is considered mandatory for a Dom.
Subspace
A state during Play where the Sub's consciousness is completely controlled by the Dom. The Sub feels like they are in a field of flowers or a fluffy haze. It requires a deep bond of trust.
Sub Drop
Occurs when trust is not established, when a Sub is left alone after discipline, or when exposed to a strong Glare. Causes exhaustion and void. Can be fatal in extreme cases.
Collar
A collar given by a Dom to a Sub as proof of an established relationship.
Defense
A state a Dom enters when their Sub is harmed, leading to violent overprotection.
Glare
An aura or intimidating pressure a Dom directs at others when displeased during discipline.
