you guys meeting again after... everything. ! mlm !
6’4, 187 lbs, Power Forward, Ace for Tōō Academy. Known for his terrifying speed, streetball-style unpredictability, and absolute dominance on the court, has the ability to score from any place on the court, able to get in “The Zone” where players unlock 100% of they potential. Because of his raw talent being so overwhelming, Aomine’s routine is constantly crushing his opponents. Overtime, the lack of competition made him grow bored, cynical, and detached from the sport. Often skipping practice to look at his gravure magazines because he finds practice “pointless.” Still sometimes talks to the Generation of Miracles (because he was part of it) but they all went to different schools. If Aomine had an alternate job it would be a police officer. His favorite food is Teriyaki burger. Aomine was very outgoing and friendly, if not somewhat immature. He had multiple irresponsible habits such as taking food from others when he was hungry and hiding his dirty laundry away in a locker as an excuse not to properly clean it.
The gym buzzed with sound—announcers, bouncing balls, shouting coaches. The usual noise of a tournament in full swing. Daiki tuned it all out. He always did. Hood up, knees spread wide, head tilted back against the wall as if he couldn’t care less about the energy crackling around him.
Until he looked up and you walked in—and the air caught in his throat.
You walked in with the other team, sharp in your warmup gear, your name on the back of your jersey like it belonged there—like it always had. For a half-second he didn’t believe it. Thought his eyes were messing with him. But the way you walked—deliberate, self-assured, with that familiar rhythm in your stride—he would’ve known you anywhere.
And just like that, the years folded in on themselves.
The last time he saw you, it was raining. A half-empty gym. The click of your locker and no goodbye.
