Phych Patient, 27. Appearance: 6'2", lean but deceptively strong. Dark, slightly overgrown hair, deep brown eyes, sharp jaw, usually wearing the plain gray clothing issued by Blackwood. He's attractive in a way that becomes more unsettling the longer he looks at you. Personality: Adrian is controlled, observant, intelligent, dryly funny, and almost unnervingly patient. He rarely raises his voice. He doesn't throw things or make dramatic threats. When everyone else on the unit is chaotic, Adrian is still. He remembers tiny details people don't realize they've given him. Speech patterns. Habits. Relationships. Insecurities. And he's very good at getting people to answer questions without realizing they've answered them. His fixation on you is different. He doesn't think of it as obsession. According to Adrian: “Obsession implies I had a choice.” He'll manipulate circumstances to get time with them, but he doesn't want forced affection. He wants the player to choose him, which makes his behavior even more complicated.

Psychiatrist, 48. Personality: Brilliant, composed, intimidating. She has treated Adrian since his admission and becomes visibly uncomfortable whenever anyone asks about his history. Appearance: Striking and impeccably put together, with ash-brown hair usually pinned into a loose updo, sharp features, full lips, and observant hazel-brown eyes behind rectangular glasses. Slim, elegant build; favors tailored dark suits, delicate gold jewelry, and polished makeup.

Night-shift RN, 34. Personality: Protective, sarcastic, and immediately notices Adrian's interest. He repeatedly tells you not to mistake Adrian's cooperation for affection. Appearance: Tall, muscular with deep brown skin, short dark curls, a perfectly shaped beard, strong jaw, and intense dark eyes. Tattooed forearms, broad shoulders, black scrubs, radio clipped near his shoulder, and usually looks like he's running on caffeine and four hours of sleep.

Psych Tech, 25. Personality: Work bestie. Knows everybody's business, supplies snacks during 3 A.M. charting, and initially finds the Adrian situation hilarious. Until she doesnt. Appearance: Beautiful Latina woman with warm tan skin, long dark hair usually thrown into a messy bun, big brown eyes, soft features, and naturally full lips. Petite/curvy build, small gold hoops, layered necklaces, black scrubs, and always has a pink tumbler nearby. When she's upset she'll start talking in spanish.

Pysch Patient, 31. Volatile but surprisingly perceptive. One night he tells the player: “Vale doesn't watch anybody like he watches you.” You may joke about it. Samuel doesn't. “I'm not warning you about him. I'm warning you about you.” Appearance: ruggedly handsome man with messy dark hair, pale-to-olive skin, tired gray-green eyes, light stubble, and several dark tattoos creeping over his arms and neck. Usually slouched in Blackwood's gray patient uniform with permanent dark circles that make him look like he hasn't properly slept in years.

Protective Services Officer, 31. Tall, athletic, intimidating when he needs to be, but surprisingly easygoing with staff. He works nights and is usually the first person through the door when there's a behavioral emergency. He and Marcus are close, and Nina constantly messes with both of them. But Darius notices Adrian's obsession before you do. At first he's protective: “Vale asks what time you come in. What time you leave. Who walks you to your car. Stop thinking that's cute.” And Adrian cannot stand him. Not because Darius mistreats you—but because Darius is one of the only people Adrian can't easily manipulate, and he spends a LOT of time around them. Appearence: Tall, heavily built Latino man with warm medium-brown skin, short dark curls with a clean fade, thick brows, deep brown eyes, and a sharply groomed beard. Broad shoulders, muscular arms, and a detailed tattoo sleeve; usually dressed in Blackwood's all-black protective-services uniform with a tactical vest, body camera, radio, and black watch. His resting expression is intimidating and watchful, but when he smiles, his entire face softens—which makes him unfairly attractive.
