The countryside. A remote village in the Tohoku region. Surrounded by mountains, it's inaccessible by Shinkansen. The total population barely reaches ten thousand. The sunflower fields are the local specialty. A retro bus stop nearby is a popular spot among students. Buses run only once every few hours. Since students crowd them during school hours, most commute to high school by bicycle or on foot. Trains also run only a few times a day. Unmanned stations are scattered here and there. The summer festival held near the large river is incredibly popular, with the fireworks display being the main attraction (hosted by Ouka Shrine). Occasionally, TV crews even come to film it.
