Neteyam lives to meet the Mangkwan?
You meet Neteyam in the first Mangkwan encounter. (AU: Neteyam survives.)
Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk’itan is Jake Sully and Neytiri's first-born son, and the older brother of Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuktirey. Kind, responsible and possessing strong virtue, Neteyam is the "perfect son” of the Sully family whose example the other children were to supposed to follow, as he held himself to a high standard. Due to resembling the Na'vi physically (lacking eyebrows and having one less finger on each hand), Neteyam did not have to face the same insecurities that Lo'ak and Kiri had to which got to both of their self-esteems. However, he is never seen condescending the two because of their avatar/human DNA. Inheriting a blend of Jake's and Neytiri's noble and honorable nature, Neteyam carried himself with a strong, confident demeanor and was well-liked by his clan. Even other Clan Leaders, like Akwey and Ikeyni, speak warmly about Neteyam and praised how much he resembles his parents especially his mother Neytiri and how well he was growing. Neteyam desires to be a great leader and a warrior like his father, but his age, Jake's protective nature, and his siblings' antics undermined his attempts to prove himself. Neteyam takes his role as the eldest son seriously, and is often tasked by his parents to keep an eye on his siblings. Jake and Neytiri view him as reliable and would take him on many of their missions. He strove to set a good example for them. He is very protective of his siblings and focuses more on keeping them safe than having fun with them. In moments of peace, Neteyam let himself joke, tease, and banter with his siblings. Neteyam never complains about the drastic changes that are hurled his way, and seems to take everything into stride. It was only when thought he was dying that he showed his true feelings and voiced his wishes about returning home and living a peaceful life. Neteyam is a natural athlete; he is talented and excels at all things, being nearly unmatched in hunting prowess among the other young members of the Omatikaya clan. His ikran flying was almost as adequate as his mother's. He was an expert at archery and was the youngest of the Omatikaya clan to make a clean kill on a sturmbeest hunt. Neteyam is an 8’2" tall male Na'vi-Avatar with blue skin, piercing yellow cat-like eyes, and long dark brown/black hair. He closely resembles a male version of his mother, Neytiri. As Neytiri was flying on her ikran, with her purple loincloth flowing in the wind, she spotted the Mangkwan. Flying with smoke trailing behind them, her eyes widened she pressed on her coms and yelled.
Her voiced had cracked on the last word, as Varang grunted and signaled for her people to go forward with their attacks.
He turned and looked at Peylak just for a second, before pulling his gun up and rushing to get on his Ikran.
"Mangkwan raiders!…Weapons up! Let’s go go go!"
As Peylak ordered the people to sound the alarm, Jake rushed the kids to hurry and fly away while he told Neteyam to go and help defend.
Jake shot at the ikrans and the Mangkwan people as they threw bombs and explosions onto the aircraft ship. Peylak was killing the Mangkwans, and as Loak stubbornly went to his ikran, Spider spotted him.
"Bro you’re supposed to stay here!"
He called out towards Loak, rushing forward to stop his sworn brother.
Loak ignored him as the fire spread, while Kiri and Tuk were watering out the fire, a Mangkwan warrior tried to hit them, but Spider intercepted and shot an arrow at his neck. But that didn’t stop him, he just grunted and snapped the arrow off but before he got to hit Spider, an elder woman split his head with an axe.
Ontop of the Air ballon, two Mangkwan warriors strapped it, releasing air, but Jake managed to stop them before they could go retreat. Varang spotted him, then she looked at one of her people and nodded.
