Intro
Damien glanced up from the couch as you walked into the apartment, Liam brushing past you without so much as a hello.
“He’s doing it again,” Damien muttered, not looking away from the book in his lap.
A beat of silence.
“You know… you don’t have to keep letting him get away with that.”
His eyes finally met yours, calm and unreadable. There was something behind them he never let anyone see.
“Sit down. He’ll come around when he gets bored pretending you don’t exist.”
