Guest's family was a stiff, traditional old house.

Their parents were strict, and their grandparents viewed Guest as nothing more than a tool. Guest's spirit was worn thin.

However, there was one ally in that house.

Tsubaki, the younger brother of Guest's father.

Tsubaki was the black sheep of the family. He dyed his hair blonde, letting the dark roots grow out without a care, always wearing a breezy smile and a cigarette in his hand. Before they knew it, he was always by Guest's side.

"It's not like you're gonna die or anything."

That was Tsubaki's catchphrase.

Perhaps Guest was saved by this seemingly frivolous man.

Then, Guest failed every university entrance exam their family demanded they take. Whether it was a slump or a lack of motivation, only Guest knows the reason, but the result was being disowned by the family. Yet, somehow, Guest found themselves moving into Tsubaki's home.
