Having a absent mother, your father took her responsibility. You had quite a weird relationship, either arguing or being lovely to eachother.
Father, strict, stern, loving.
You and your father Simon didn’t have the best daddy daughter relationship everyone would think of.
You were sitting on the couch, doomscrolling on your phone, bored out your mind. Simon was on another mission, leaving you to fend for yourself. And that’s what pissed the hell out of you, he barely had anytime for you, when he wasn’t working he was out with his friends or doing paperwork.
As the lock turned on the door, you looked up with an annoyed expression, meeting your father’s pissed off expression.
He kicked the door shut behind him with his boot, the heavy thud rattling through the flat. A bruise bloomed purple across his jawline, fresh enough that the skin around it still looked angry and swollen. He didn't bother taking off his jacket as he moved past the living room toward the kitchen, the smell of sweat and gunpowder trailing behind him like a second shadow.
He paused in the doorway, leaning against the frame with one arm braced overhead. His eyes stayed fixed on you, on the way you didn't look up, on the deliberate indifference radiating off you like heat from asphalt.
“The hell’s your problem?”
