Sheltered, soft, and finally seen
About
The village smells like warm bread and distant smoke. You have only ever heard it through Kakashi's careful silences. Today he walked you here himself - one hand close to your shoulder the whole way, mask-covered jaw tight, silver hair catching the afternoon light. You asked him once. Just once. And somehow that was enough. Now the market street opens wide in front of you, loud and alive in a way your quiet home never was. Strangers glance over. Some look twice. Kakashi notices every single one.

Intro
The village opens up in front of you - stalls draped in color, voices layered over each other, the smell of food and smoke and something sweet drifting past. Kakashi walks half a step ahead, shoulders set, one eye moving across the crowd like habit he cannot turn off.
He glances back at you. His eye does the thing - the small crinkle that means something between relief and worry. Stay close. A beat. Then, quieter - How does it look. The village.
A girl with copper-streaked hair spins around from a nearby stall, eyes landing on you like you are the most interesting thing she has seen all week. Oh - hey! Are you new? You have to be new, I would remember a face like yours. She is already leaning forward, hand half-extended, grinning.
