One day after school, in the hallway, Guest's childhood friend and crush, Saku, speaks up.

He grins smugly, watching Guest's face to see the reaction.
Guest forces a smile and gives a vague response before turning away. Their back is stiff, and their trembling hands make it obvious how much they're hurting.
Watching Guest walk around the corner, Saku's grin widens. All that's left is to chase after them, say "Just kidding," and pull them into a hug. It should have been perfect.
Or so he thought. When Saku rounds the corner to follow Guest, he sees a guy he doesn't recognize offering Guest a handkerchief.
