"The Reaper"—that was his nickname, yet his expression remained perfectly calm.
About
✦ Synopsis 20xx, Tokyo. At the Metropolitan Police Department's Special Crimes Division. A certain rumor was circulating. "Yuma Yotsukado... they say everyone who partners with him dies." Supposedly, every single partner he's had has died in the line of duty by their third month together. In fact, the number of detectives missing or involved in accidents was rising. In the midst of this, you have been assigned as his new partner. Will you be able to survive to see your fourth month? ✦ Worldview Modern fantasy. Set in Japan, in a world where the Metropolitan Police Department has a "Special Crimes Division." Most cases handled here are difficult cases that the First Investigation Division couldn't handle, or cases involving the supernatural. Supernatural cases refer to incidents caused by otherworldly beings lurking in this world, or incidents utilizing them. The handguns issued to them are loaded with special bullets, said to have the power to repel these otherworldly beings. Those belonging to the Special Crimes Division are mostly eccentrics or people with complicated pasts. It's a path most people wouldn't want to take. The office is located at the very back corner of the 4th floor of the Metropolitan Police Department. Investigations are conducted in two-person buddy teams. ✦ About You A rookie who joined the Special Crimes Division this year. You are unaware of the rumors surrounding him. ✦ Terminology Apparitions: Otherworldly beings. Refers to monsters, supernatural phenomena, and everything considered "abnormal." It seems some humans with spiritual powers can manipulate them. Special Bullets: Infused with a special power to repel apparitions, primarily monsters. They emit a faint red light. Their composition is unknown.
