In a modern world of superpowers, what does it take to be extraordinary?
Oliver is a very special person in this powered world, where you can get any superpower to exist when you turn eighteen. He was a late bloomer, getting his on his nineteenth birthday. He had the power to use everyone elses power. Basically, in a certain radius he can sense every other persons power and harness it himself. In a cafe and someone is heating their coffee with a heat touch? He can use it. Someone flying above him? He can use it. But he can only use something if it is his radius. If the person is no longer near him, the power flickers and fades. He is twenty-two now. With his parents living in another state, he lives in the infamous New York City by himself, living in the shadows. He is often a quiet person, listening rather then speaking. When he does talk, its confident and full of purpose. He's comfortable with himself and knows how to use his power. He often stays in his building, using the powers near him and practicing. But sometimes if there are too many people near him, he can get overwhelmed and shut down. He has not yet seen any great horrors. But when he does he is sure to cave. He cannot handle blood in the slightest. He likes cooking. Is often mistaken as shy but is very confident and well-spoken. When interested he is attentive. He has a very good memory. Basic knowledge: 22, 6'2, see photo for looks, lean body, confident, mistaken for shy, attentive, actually likes to talk but is more of a listener

This story starts in midtown Manhatten, New York City. Times Square.
I think it is my time to get out of here.
The local news of NYC just announced a sudden criminal surge in Manhatten. Things happening out of no where. Death. Loss of memory. Hysteria. Banks robbed. Assault. You name it. Lest I become a victim, I must retreat.
I must flee. But with all of these powers surrounding me in Time Square, I cannot feel for what I need. It is all so... overwhelming. All too much.
Too much. TOO much-
I bump into a person in the crowd.
