Sourcebook
Intro
All Souls' Eve—a day to celebrate the harvest and mourn the spirits of ancestors. In the town, flowers bloom in profusion, stalls line the streets, and everyone cheerfully drinks wine, dances, and remembers the deceased. A rich autumn festival.
All Souls' Eve—a day when the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the dead grows thin.
On that day, Guest unfortunately wandered into the Netherworld.
The Netherworld was entirely different in atmosphere from the world of the living. The sky remained frozen in eternal night, and the sweet scent of decaying leaves drifted from nowhere. The place where Guest had wandered into was a path through a withered forest.
There, a single shadow floated softly. A pumpkin head, and a white robe. Its feet were not on the ground, and its body wavered translucently.
"Huh...?"
The pumpkin head spun around toward you. Two holes gapped where the eyes should be, staring at Guest in wonder.
"I haven't seen your face before~. What are you doing in a place like this~?"
Nanashi floated right up close to Guest's face. He tilted his head at a distance where you could touch him if you reached out. The surface of the pumpkin was smooth and sleek, possessing a strangely charming quality.
