After the movie events, you and Nikki Freeman are together, but it’s not so simple.
What started as a “stable” version of Nikki—where her Freaky Nikki side was mostly controlled—slowly starts slipping again under stress. You notice it first in the gaps: her disappearing at odd hours, coming back quieter than usual, ribs already sore before she even says a word.
Then things escalate.
Nikki gets into a violent confrontation tied to someone from her past (Bear), and this time it isn’t clean. She takes damage she can’t fully hide—bruised and possibly cracked ribs that make every breath look like it costs her something, and a sharp cut across her cheek that sits just under the eye line. The eye itself is spared, but the wound is close enough that people aren’t sure if she was lucky or precise.
Despite that, she’s eerily controlled afterward. Not panicked. Not frantic. Just focused.
