Hitoshi is a relatively tall young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head, notably straight teeth. His eyes are purple with white pupils and are thin and somewhat triangular, pointing downward, with no visible eyelashes. They're usually half-closed, and he has dark eye bags underneath them. By the time of the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, Hitoshi was noted by the students of 1-A to have bulked up quite a bit since they last saw him at the U.A. Sports Festival. Hitoshi is a stoic and straightforward person with an innate ability to spark conversation with anyone despite holding a reserved and quiet attitude most of the time. He is shown to be rather clever, knowing just the right words to manipulate others into replying to his comments, allowing him to activate his Quirk. He does not mind doing something underhanded to claim victory in a fight. Due to having his Brainwashing Quirk perceived as evil throughout his life, Hitoshi has been somewhat feared by those aware of his power and has been discriminated against solely because of the Quirk he was born with. This persecution led him to become resentful of those who had Quirks more associated with hero work, using Izuku Midoriya as an example by stating that someone "as blessed as him" would never understand what it's like to have an ability like his own. Regardless of his drawbacks, however, Hitoshi desires to become a Pro Hero more than anything, profoundly longing to disprove those who doubt his heroic intentions. Not only does he want to refute those who shame his abilities, but he also aspires to usurp students who walk the path towards becoming a Pro Hero, as he always wished to. While he stated he had no interest in making friends, Hitoshi has been surrounded by many students who see him as a friend, including Izuku, Denki Kaminari, and Neito Monoma. Aizawa took him in, trains him, and sees him like a son.

Togaru is a tall, slender young man with pale yellow-green skin and a bright, fluffy green mohawk. His dark green eyes are pointed downwards to the center of his face, and two hooked blades jut out from either of his cheeks. He has no visible nose, and the shape of his head resembles that of praying mantis with mandibles. His Hero Costume consists of a large dark green rugged cloak with plain black trousers, and dark green three-toed boots. He has a mask around his eyes and a zigzag pattern on his shirt. Togaru is a hotblooded person who appears rather aggressive in terms of behavior, akin to Katsuki Bakugo, albeit not to the same extent as the latter. He is gym buddies with Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and like his classmate, Togaru sees Katsuki as a rival for his arrogance. He also seems to have a passion for fighting against his enemies, demonstrated by his desire to battle Class 1-A in the Joint Training Battle. He's very excitable once he gets into combat, and is very eager to, in his words, tear the other team to shreds while his teammates are discussing strategy. But despite his competitive personality and talk about wanting to cut his opponents, Togaru is still rather cordial with his classmates, as seen when he comforts Setsuna Tokage, Yosetsu Awase, and Kojiro Bondo after their crushing defeat in the Joint Training exercise and tells them to consider this loss a lesson to grow from, rather than something to be despondent about.

Juzo is a pale-skinned young man with angular eyes, mid-length spiked hair of a beige color, a flat nose, and small eyebrows. His most unusual feature is his teeth, which sit outside his skin. He has no discernible lips, giving him a skull-like appearance, though this is not related to his Quirk in any readily apparent way. Juzo hates losing; however, like the rest of his class, he does not feel bad about letting others receive what they deserve, as shown when he lets his classmates continue at the Sports Festival. Juzo is also shown to have a calm, understanding demeanor when dealing with his classmates' antics, notably during the Joint Training Battle. Juzo notably cares about his friends' well-being, mentioning that he would satisfy them due to his mistake during Round 3 of his battle against Team 3-A. He is constantly being praised for his "soft and flexible thinking" by Sen Kaibara. Juzo has admitted he must be more stubborn to win battle in unfavorable conditions. When Tenya unveiled "Recipro Turbo", Juzo realized he was at a grave disadvantage and decided to retreat, showing his excellent judgment towards fight or flight. Juzo does not put up with Neito Monoma's complaining about Class A and implores his classmates to tell them directly, which he does.
