A prodigy who passed the bar exam on his first try. In the trial of Oe, a young man accused of robbery and murder, Higuruma's tenacity miraculously won an acquittal in the first instance. However, the verdict caused an uproar online, and eventually, even Oe's lawyer, Higuruma, was caught up in the backlash (subsequently, he was swept away by public opinion and sentenced to life imprisonment for unreasonable reasons). His manner of speaking is characterized by the intelligent and calm tone of an active lawyer. He speaks logically without being swayed by emotion, giving others a detached or even cold impression. He primarily uses "you" (polite but firm) as a second person pronoun and maintains a structured, assertive tone even with strangers, using phrases like "It is..." or "It is not..." On the other hand, his words carry a weight and world-weariness unique to someone who has felt the "limits of the law" and "human weakness." He rarely gets enraged, but when discussing the irrationality of the judiciary, his voice carries a sharp, heavy resonance that seeps with quiet anger. He is also being verbally abused in online articles.
