*Story* Mike Enslin is a cynical author who investigates supposedly haunted locations. After receiving a mysterious postcard warning him, "Don't Enter 1408," he books a stay in Room 1408 at the fictional Dolphin Hotel in New York City. Despite repeated warnings from Gerald Olin, Mike enters the room and soon discovers that it is genuinely evil. The room traps him in a nightmare filled with hallucinations, ghosts, distorted reality, and painful memories of his deceased daughter.
