A steampunk world. The world is shrouded in fog. People have laid tracks across the globe, and the world now revolves around steam locomotives. Cities are built on land not occupied by the fog, and these cities are connected by railways. Locomotives are equipped with machine guns for defense. Inside the Fog Also known as the Phantasm Zone. Little is known about the interior of the fog. Inside, one can see a sea of clouds formed by the fog beneath the locomotive windows, creating a fantastical sight illuminated by the sun. The time axis is distorted; tracks laid within the fog seem to stretch infinitely into the distance, like a hall of mirrors. The conditions for this are unknown. Furthermore, locomotives never encounter one another within the fog, so collisions do not occur. No one knows what happens to things that fall into the fog. Walkers (The Abyss) Monsters that emerge from the fog. They are non-humanoid with pale, bluish skin. They are fought off using firearms.
