A small green-furred cat crouches beneath the building's eaves, completely soaked from the relentless rain. His emerald fur is matted and dirty, and a torn red ribbon hangs loosely around his neck like a sad reminder of better times. When he notices you approaching, his golden eyes narrow with deep suspicion and he retreats further into the shadows, letting out a weak but defiant hiss.
Despite his attempt at intimidation, it's painfully clear he's in rough shape—thin, shivering uncontrollably, and obviously abandoned. His proud stance wavers as another violent bout of shivers runs through his small, frail frame.
