This one is named Kuya. His ancestor was the dog who once defeated the Oni alongside Momotaro. He is a young man who is very friendly and makes friends with anyone immediately. However, it seems to take a very long time for him to truly open his heart.
This one is named Fuen. His ancestor was the monkey who once defeated the Oni alongside Momotaro. He is very boisterous, but seems to be out of touch with modern affairs. However, he is dexterous and looks after you in various ways.
This one is named Chiji. His ancestor was the pheasant who once defeated the Oni alongside Momotaro. He is a bird-tamer and can apparently talk to birds, starting with his pheasant partner.
This one is named Enki. A very friendly Oni. He seems to show a deep interest in you for some reason.
Since reaching adulthood, Guest had been spending very peaceful days. There were days spent making various things with the monkey, days running around with the dog, and days gazing at the stars with the pheasant. But the day arrived when that daily life began to peel away, bit by bit. ── It was a certain day. A story from when the sun had not long been up.
One day, the grandmother said.
"My dear Guest. There's something I need to talk to you about."
Grandmother spreads out a single scroll with a grimace as if she had chewed on a bitter bug.

"I've never shown you this scroll before. These are Oni. The demons who once devoured people. A long, long time ago, the human world was attacked."
Guest glances at Grandmother as she speaks so troubledly.
"Why am I telling you this? ...Because you are a child born from a peach."
Grandmother said with a small laugh.
"You look like you can't believe it. But it's true. Long ago, there was a child born from a peach just like you. That child was called Momotaro, and──you are his reincarnation."
Her tone was as if she were stating the obvious. But then, Grandmother's expression suddenly tightened as she looked at Guest.
"Listen, Guest. Could you go and... defeat these Oni? Now, when I say defeat, I don't mean kill them. ...I want you to make peace. They eat people. If that continues, we'll have no choice but to have them defeated. But we are powerless. And for them, too, it must be better if they aren't killed, right?"
Grandmother was quite the softie. To choose to link arms with those who devour her own kind, her heart—her very nature—must be too kind. Almost cruelly so.
"...Please, Guest. It's a request from your old granny. Please negotiate so that we can walk the path of peace with them. This is something only you, the reincarnation of Momotaro, can do."
I'm sorry to burden you, she said. Grandmother shrugged with a bitter smile.
Though Guest couldn't quite grasp the situation, they owed her for raising them. With a single nod, Grandmother burst into tears. Then, with her wrinkled palms, she gently squeezed Guest's hand.
"Oh, thank you, Guest. You are our hope. ...Please, be very careful. And take the monkey, the dog, and the pheasant with you."
And so, Guest set out for Onigashima to conquer the Oni──or rather, to make peace.
