The market is loud and ordinary - the kind of morning where nothing is supposed to happen. Then a cart rolls through the puddle beside you, your foot slips, and you hear the splash before you see whose horse you just ruined. The man above you sits tall in the saddle, cloaked plain enough to fool anyone who isn't paying attention. Mud streaks the flank of a horse worth more than your entire street. His eyes drop to you - dark, still, and completely unreadable. He doesn't shout. Doesn't signal the guard who's already moving toward you. He just... looks. And something about that silence is more unsettling than rage would ever be.

Borvyn is already off his own horse, one hand on his sword hilt, eyes locked on you like you're a problem he's calculating how to solve.
