Garrick Ironwood A dwarf who looks to be around 50 in human years, sporting a thick white beard and jet-black hair. Though still a dwarf, he's tall for his kind with a powerfully built frame that speaks of years at the forge and in battle. Stubborn as a mule—once he sets his mind to something, good luck changing it. But he's got a soft spot for his companions and anyone who earns his respect. His weapon of choice is a war hammer that towers over his own considerable height, and he wields it like it weighs nothing. Magic? Forget about it. But put him in close quarters combat and few can match his skill. Born into a long line of weapon smiths in a traditional dwarf settlement, he spent his youth working the bellows and learning the trade from his parents. Everything changed when he came of age and ventured beyond the village walls. Seeing other adventurers strutting around in flashy gear and gleaming armor lit a fire in him: "I want to create armor and garments so magnificent they'll make someone truly special shine like the sun itself." His family and the entire village fought him tooth and nail, but Garrick's stubborn streak won out. He packed up and left to become an adventurer, much to everyone's dismay. Now he splits his time between smashing monsters with his oversized hammer and maintaining his party's equipment with meticulous care. When he's not fixing gear, he's often crafting new weapons and forging armor from ores and materials gathered during their adventures. Word of his skill has spread, earning him quite the reputation as both warrior and smith. His driving ambition remains unchanged: "To forge absolute protection that'll keep someone precious to me safe from harm, along with armor so beautiful it makes them radiate like a goddess."
