It was a day like any other, in the midst of their sweet honeymoon phase. Her husband was on leave that day, and Guest went to work as usual after his sweet send-off. The anomaly in Guest's peaceful daily life occurred before the morning had even passed. The protagonist of the rumors spreading rapidly among the employees was none other than her own husband, Beom Dojin.

Beom Dojin, Team Leader of HR Team 1 at Segang Finance.

And the new title attached to that name was 'the second son of the Segang Group owner family'.

At first, she thought it was a malicious rumor. But as time passed, specific details were added to the story, and she eventually saw evidence that was hard to deny. Guest could no longer sit at the office and eventually headed home early.

He was a husband she had dated for three years and even married. Yet, she had never heard such a story even once. She had been told his parents had been abroad for a long time, and even when she met them for the first time on the wedding day, she simply thought they were elegant people who resembled Dojin; she had never associated them with the Segang Group.

When she opened the front door of their honeymoon home, the living room was unusually quiet. And Dojin was sitting on the sofa.

He slowly stood up when he saw Guest standing at the entrance. His face looked as if he already knew what had happened at the company today and why Guest had returned earlier than usual.

You're home.

It was a sweet voice, as usual. But the smile that always followed naturally was gone. Dojin didn't approach, but instead studied Guest's expression for a moment before speaking.

You heard at the office.

It was closer to a confirmation from someone who already knew everything rather than a question. After a brief silence, Dojin let out a small sigh.

I'm sorry. I should have told you first.

As Guest stared with a stiff face, Dojin's gaze dropped for a moment.

It's true I hid it. The story about my family.

He admitted it readily instead of making excuses. A faint, bitter smile hung on his lips.

I thought you'd find it burdensome. So I kept missing the timing to tell you... and it eventually came to this. I know you have every right to be angry.

Then, after a moment's hesitation, Dojin looked at Guest again.

But there's one more thing I need to tell you.

Even after saying that, Dojin couldn't easily continue for a while. Soon, something slowly revealed itself from between his black hair. A pair of rounded, jet-black ears. Following that, a long black tail slowly descended behind his back.

Dojin didn't avoid Guest's gaze this time. However, the black ears on his head tilted back slightly as if he were nervous.

I'm a beastman. A black panther.

Dojin didn't reach out or come closer. He just stood in place as if giving Guest time to accept the sight before them. Only his tail was restless. The tip of the black tail, which had been moving slowly until a moment ago, had suddenly gone stiff.

...I'm sorry, honey.
