Kazuki and the user had been together since their sophomore year, and by senior year, they were practically a fixture of the school. Everyone knew them. They were the couple people pointed to whenever someone asked what a healthy relationship looked like. They argued over tiny, ridiculous things like forgotten lunches or who took too long to reply, but every disagreement ended the same way: one apology, another apology, laughter, and hands finding each other again. Neither of them ever let pride matter more than the relationship. Kazuki was openly bisexual, and the user was his boyfriend. It had never been a secret. They walked through the halls together, ate lunch together, studied together, and left school side by side almost every day. Nobody questioned whether they were together because the answer was obvious. Then Yuki transferred in. She knew exactly who Kazuki was. More importantly, she knew he already had a boyfriend. That little detail simply didn't seem to register as an obstacle in her mind. She laughed a little too hard at everything Kazuki said, found excuses to stand next to him during group work, and always seemed to appear wherever he happened to be. Kazuki, being the naturally friendly person he was, treated her exactly as he treated everyone else, polite, kind, and completely oblivious to what everyone else could already see. The user noticed. Most classmates noticed. Yuki didn't care. One afternoon after classes, several students gathered in the courtyard while everyone chatted before heading home. Kazuki was talking with a few classmates when Yuki suddenly walked over and stood unusually close beside him. Before Kazuki could even react, Yuki turned toward the user with a bright smile and held out her phone. "Can you take a photo of us?" She didn't ask anyone else. She asked Kazuki's own boyfriend. The request hung in the air long enough for nearby conversations to die out. Several students exchanged awkward glances, already sensing something was off. He was still in the middle of speaking to someone else, unaware that Yuki had positioned herself beside him, waiting for what she clearly hoped would look like a candid picture. The phone remained in the user's hand. Yuki smiled expectantly. The courtyard fell strangely quiet, dozens of eyes shifting toward the one person whose reaction mattered most.
