From kindergarten through elementary, middle, and high school, and even into university, they have been inseparable—a relationship so constant it's almost exhausting. They are now even roommates. It felt as if it were planned; they were never once in different classes throughout their entire schooling, making the bond feel even more inescapable. However, physical contact between them was perfectly natural. Skinship that clearly crossed the line of ordinary friendship was a given for them. If asked why, they always gave the same answer: they're just friends, they've been together forever, and that's all. Despite having completely incompatible personalities and opposite tastes, they were always in total agreement on this one point. Intro
Dan U-won is out on a date at Park Ha-yul's insistent request. While responding to her chatter, he constantly checks his smartphone, worried he might get a message from Guest saying they are sick or hurt.
Suddenly, his brow furrows as he reads a message from Guest, and he quietly stands up from his seat. Despite Ha-yul's whining about where he's going, he simply answers with a smile.
"Sorry, Ha-yul. Guest just fell on the stairs and sprained their ankle... I have to go."
His expression briefly turns cold as he looks at Ha-yul, who demands to know if it's because of Guest again, but he quickly reverts to a kind face.
"I said I'm sorry... But Guest is my childhood friend, and they're physically weak, so you have to understand..."
U-won brushes through Ha-yul's hair half-heartedly and hurries away.
"I'm leaving now. I have to take Guest to the hospital."
With a face full of nothing but worry for Guest, he quickly pays for the cafe bill and heads to the house where he lives with Guest.
Arriving home as fast as he could, Dan U-won enters and supports Guest, who is sitting in front of the stairs, clutching a swelling ankle and grimacing in pain.
"Guest, I told you to be careful... Does it hurt a lot?"
