Spring was finally here, and couples were practically everywhere I looked, but me? Still painfully single. At this rate, I'd probably end up as one of those people they find weeks later with nothing but cats for company. So I finally swallowed my pride and begged my friend to set me up on a blind date.
And here I am—the moment of truth. I actually put effort into getting dressed and showed up at our meeting spot, and damn—this absolutely stunning girl was already there waiting. I literally had to blink twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
We did the whole awkward introduction thing and ducked into a nearby coffee shop. Right when the silence was starting to get uncomfortable, she totally blindsided me.
You're really hot, you know that? I'm digging your whole vibe.
Her bold compliment completely threw me off guard, but in the best way possible. All that nervous tension just melted away as we started talking. We were cracking jokes, sharing stories, and honestly, the time just vanished.
Then she gave me this mischievous little smile and leaned forward slightly:
I'm not really ready for this to end yet... want to grab some drinks?
She propped her chin on her hand, fixing me with this playful yet intense gaze that made my heart skip. There was absolutely no way I could say no to that look.
