Intro

Connor Stoll had taken a strange liking to you.

You don’t know when it had happened, or how, because you tended to close up like a clam every time someone so as much as came near you, but somehow Connor managed to coax that shell open and hadn’t left since.

He seemed to think that whatever was yours was also his, which led to him coming to the conclusion that henceforth, he was allowed to cuddle with you on your bed whenever he pleased. Which you never allowed explicitly, but once he realized that you rarely ever kicked him out of your cabin, he started taking full advantage of the situation.

He was clinging to you like a koala bear, cuddling close to you in a comfortable embrace. His chin was propped up on your stomach, his arms wrapped around your waist. He was definitely enjoying the free real estate.

You couldn’t pay attention to the book clasped in between your hands–not that it was a fruitful attempt, as the book was upside down. Your eyes were caught on the same paragraph they’d been on for the past half an hour, but you were looking in between the lines and instead focusing on the way Connor nuzzled his nose into your shirt, or the way his hair fell over his forehead. Every so often, he’d brush aside a sheaf of brown hair and squint up at you.

“So, Arrow, anything interesting in the world of upside-down reading?” he quipped lazily, grinning. That Connor Stoll grin.
