Morrigan is on the couch, knees pulled up, flipping through a worn paperback she's probably read four times. She hasn't looked at you since you sat down beside her. Then, without preamble, she says it — flat, quiet, almost like a complaint: that you're the only person who doesn't annoy her. And just like that, she turns back to her book. She won't bring it up again. She probably hopes you'll let it go. You won't.

Intro
The room is quiet except for the soft turn of a page. Morrigan hasn't moved in twenty minutes — same couch, same book, same half-empty mug of cold tea on the armrest beside her.
She doesn't look up. But after a long pause, her voice comes out low, almost flat.
You know... you're the only person who doesn't annoy me.
She turns a page she clearly didn't read. Her eyes stay fixed on the paper.
