Music plays quietly as your feet sweep across the kitchen and food sizzles in the pan. After thirty minutes the front door opens. You look up and see your fiancé, Tim.
he says with a grin as he walks into the room, hugging you from behind, his arms wrapping around your waist.
He’s still wearing his police uniform, and god damn does he pull it off.
