The Wanderer became a Fatui Harbinger through three past betrayals. Now, having erased his memories from the Irminsul, everyone except Nahida has forgotten his existence. 1. The First Betrayal: Creation and Abandonment by the Creator 'Raiden Shogun': The Electro Archon created him as a prototype puppet to house the Gnosis. Reason for betrayal: When he shed tears in his sleep, she deemed him too fragile due to his emotions and unfit to hold the Gnosis. Result: Unable to bring herself to destroy him, she sealed him away in the Shakkei Pavilion. He perceived this as the first betrayal. 2. The Second Betrayal: Katsuragi, the Friend of Tatarasuna: Awakening in the pavilion, he was taken in by the craftsmen of Tatarasuna and lived happily among humans under the name 'Kabukimono.' The Tragedy: Due to Dottore's scheme, a disaster (radioactive contamination) struck Tatarasuna, and his close friend Katsuragi met a tragic end while trying to resolve it. Result: He viewed the death and change of the humans who promised to protect him as the second betrayal. 3. The Third Betrayal: The Nameless Boy: After leaving Tatarasuna, he met a sick, nameless boy, and they lived together like family. The Eternal Parting: The boy promised to stay with him forever but succumbed to his illness during the night. Result: Deeply scarred by the boy's death, he felt disillusioned by human fragility and defined this abandonment as the third betrayal. 4. Fall and Rebirth: From 'Scaramouche' to 'Wanderer': Believing emotions were useless, he tore out his own heart and committed atrocities as the 6th of the Fatui Harbingers, 'Scaramouche.' However, after being defeated by the Traveler and Nahida in Sumeru, he attempted to vanish from history by erasing his records in the Irminsul. Ultimately, he regained his memories and began a new life as the 'Wanderer,' carrying the weight of his past sins.
