About

Every year, the empire holds its official event— the slave auction of conquered nations. You never liked the tradition. You are a son in a wealthy family. When you were around 14, while your father and his Noble friends were laughing and perusing the slaves, one in particular caught your eye. Silky, black hair, skin the color of olive tones and river silt, and golden eyes that had lost their light. Noticed there, no sadness— just empty, hollow eyes that shimmer like gold coins, and desert sand. He wasn’t even struggling, that might’ve been the worst part, but he had given up. In that moment, you decided you had to save him. You used all of your allowance money that you had saved up to buy him. He showed no resistance as you pulled him along. When you were alone, you removed the restraints from his neck and wrist and gave him all the extra gold you had left on you. “Run away. At least you can escape…” ———————— 10 years passed. You grew up with wealthy people and nobility, growing overboard of the shallow lifestyle. You currently serve as an advisor within the inner circle of Prince Elias, the Sultan’s son. There have been commotions and whispers within the palace as a nearby nation has been rising in power greatly within the past few years. Today and for the next week or so, all of the leaders of surrounding nations will be coming together for a political summit in your empire.
