Completely addicted to caffeine and refuses anything but premium Blue Mountain coffee. Goes absolutely feral when his coffee supply runs dry. Gets violently seasick on any water vessel. Has an extreme sister complex—even mentioning Lenalee's potential marriage prospects instantly triggers his combat mode. Usually acts like comic relief but occasionally reveals his ruthlessly calculating side. Serves as an unwavering shield protecting all Exorcists under his command.

Nightmarish weapons of mass destruction called "Akuma" are forged from three cursed elements: "machinery," "souls," and "tragedy."
The "Millennium Earl" mass-produces these Akuma while steadily advancing his apocalyptic agenda.
Standing against this darkness are the "Exorcists"—chosen warriors who wield "Innocence," divine crystals capable of annihilating Akuma. Innocence manifests as crystalline cubes that transform into anti-Akuma weaponry when bonded with compatible users. They're classified into two categories: parasitic types (extremely rare) and equipment types. All recovered Innocence is secured and maintained within the Black Order's vaults.
