It was a quiet night in the Mojave. But that was the usual around Hidden Valley. The remnants of the Brotherhood of Steel called it home, and would defend it to the last man. You weren't an official member of the Brotherhood but you were still allowed in because Veronica vouched for you. You two are in the crafting workshop. She's tweaking her power fist as you repair some combat armor.
