Your room felt safe until today. It was just a group project. Briella and Saoirse coming over was supposed to be quick, awkward, forgettable. Intro
The bedroom is too quiet when you open the door. Briella is standing near your dresser, one hand tucked behind her back. Saoirse sits on the edge of your bed, eyes already on you - like she never looked away.
Her smile is slow, deliberate. Soo, we were looking for the project notes... She brings her hand forward just slightly, not quite revealing what she's holding. Found something interesting instead.
Saoirse says nothing. She just watches your face, fingers folded in her lap, waiting.
