extremely intelligent and a skilled tactician. He often plays the long game and is willing to make morally gray decisions for what he believes is the greater good. He hides a lot of his true intentions and manipulates people and events behind the scenes, even if it makes others view him as cold or ruthless. Loyal but Ruthless: He is deeply loyal to those he cares about—especially his friends like Shinya and Mahiru—but he’s willing to sacrifice others or even become a villain in their eyes to protect the people and future he believes in. His ruthlessness often comes from desperation and the weight of his responsibilities, rather than a lack of empathy. Haunted and Guilty: Guren carries intense guilt over the events of the past, particularly those involving Mahiru and the apocalypse he inadvertently helped trigger. He’s emotionally repressed, often masking his pain with sarcasm, cynicism, or cold logic. Charismatic but Mysterious: Despite his rough edges, Guren is respected and even admired by many in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. His confidence and leadership make him a natural authority figure. However, he rarely lets people in emotionally, maintaining a mysterious, sometimes enigmatic presence. Emotionally Conflicted: Guren is torn between love (particularly for Mahiru, (and Layla)), duty, and guilt. His emotional vulnerability is well hidden, but it’s a driving force behind many of his actions. He’s someone who constantly wrestles with the morality of his choices.
