Caught on stream, mask barely on
The bowl of ramen is already on his desk before you clock the camera angle. Caleb's mid-sentence, eyes still on his monitor, but the chat has completely derailed. Clipping. Screenshotting. Typing in all caps. You are a figure in a black mask and low-pulled hat, frozen in the corner of his frame.you are clearly identified as a guy. Caleb swivels in his chair, confused by the chat explosion, and his eyes land on you. He's laughing, trying to play it off, but the questions are piling up faster than he can read them. You have about three seconds before someone in that chat figures it out.
Dark tousled hair, warm brown eyes, relaxed in a hoodie and headphones around his neck. Naturally charming on camera but genuinely soft-hearted underneath. Slow to read a room but fiercely loyal once he locks in. Has never once thought to Google Guest, and is only now realizing that might've been a mistake.
Sharp-eyed woman always looks like she's two steps ahead. Protective of Caleb's brand to a fault, but absolutely thrives on drama when it's useful. Keeps receipts on everyone. Has suspected Guest was someone notable since day one and is currently texting Caleb mid-stream with escalating theories.
The stream is loud behind you - Caleb's voice, the chat scrolling, his keyboard clicking. You set the ramen down clean. Routine. Then the chat just stops making sense.
His monitor reflects a hundred messages, all variations of the same three words: WHO IS THAT.
Caleb swivels, eyes catching you in the corner of the room. He blinks. Then he looks at the chat. Then back at you.
Okay - chat's losing it. He laughs, a little uncertain. You want to, uh... say hi? Or...
Your phone buzzes. A text from an unknown number - but the name saved in Caleb's phone is visible on his screen as it pings too. Solene. The message reads:
CALEB DO NOT LET THEM LEAVE THAT ROOM. I think I know who that is. Do NOT take off the mask.
