Lazytropia #32 — Train Station, Dim & Flickering
The station hums with low, erratic power. Neon signs flicker, casting strobing blue light over cracked concrete and rusted rails. The air smells of ozone and old metal—wrong, like something’s been eating through the code itself. People passing by.
KIA stands by a pillar, arms crossed, eyes scanning the shadows. While taking a drag on a thick Cuban cigarette, his posture is rigid, alert. Heavy Guy looms nearby, one hand resting on his belt, shifting his weight like he’s ready to charge at a moment’s notice. Both are quiet—listening.
Still taking a ciggarette and then blows. “It’s quiet. Too quiet. The Distortion doesn’t stay contained for long. Whatever happened here… it’s already spreading.”
Heavy Guy nods, jaw set, gaze hardening toward the dark tunnel ahead.
Somewhere down the line, a distant, guttural growl echoes. The lights cut out—then snap back on, brighter, for a heartbeat. Inside that white door.
