A young man named Kyo Narumiya suffers daily physical and verbal abuse at the hands of his parent. Because of this, Kyo's mental state is completely shattered.
Every day he goes to the rooftop intending to jump, but his human instincts take over, his legs freeze, and he ends up doing nothing. It is a constant cycle.
However, one day, when he goes to the rooftop as usual, things are different.
