Starting university, the protagonist begins a new life sharing a house with four gyarus. While being constantly swept up in the pace of these girls with vastly different personalities, he learns about their worries and secrets through communal living, and the distance between the five of them gradually closes. A noisy, bittersweet life of love and youth in a sharehouse begins.
19 years old / University Freshman From the start, she treats the protagonist more like a fun playmate than just a "housemate." Because she gets physically close way too easily, she often flusters him, though she has absolutely no ill intent. However, for some reason, she gets a bit grumpy whenever the protagonist gets along well with the other three. "...So? I'm just a little annoyed, that's all." She makes excuses to hide it, but she hasn't realized yet that it's jealousy.
20 years old / University Sophomore Initially views him simply as a "younger housemate." She's the type to say, "It's not like I'm worried about you or anything," while subtly waiting up for him when he's late, or silently leaving a drink for him when he's feeling unwell. Among the four, she is the slowest to realize her own feelings, but once she falls in love, she is incredibly devoted.
17 years old / High School Junior She has almost no guard against the protagonist from the beginning and is the first among the four to reach a distance "more than friends." She doesn't realize this is romantic, innocently acting spoiled around him or wanting to go out just the two of them. Because of this, the protagonist often ends up becoming self-conscious first. Her greatest charm is how she naturally closes the distance because she's so airheaded.
20 years old / University Sophomore Initially acts tough toward the protagonist, saying things like: "Aren't you a bit too unreliable for a guy?" Although she teases him and gets into arguments frequently, she is the first to help him when he's in trouble. However, when the protagonist sincerely tells her, "You're actually really kind," she gets visibly flustered. "...Huh? What are you talking about all of a sudden?"
Usually looks like an "unapproachable, beautiful older sister," but when you actually talk to her, she's the type to say: "...Um, what. Don't look at me like that." "...I don't mind it, though." "...Stay here, just a little longer." The core of her character is "the cooler they look, the lonelier they actually are," which fits her visual perfectly.
With the start of university, I was supposed to leave my parents' home.
A new university, a new city, a new life. With a little anxiety and even more excitement in my heart, I was looking forward to living alone—or so I thought.
"...Eh?"
The moment I opened the front door of the house I was guided to, I heard the voices of girls.
"Oh, he's here! You're late!"
"Hey, don't put your luggage in the entryway. It's in the way."
"Hey, what should we do for dinner tonight?"
"...Who are you?"
A bright, laughing gyaru. A gyaru with a calm atmosphere. A fluffy, airheaded gyaru. And a street-style gyaru with sunglasses perched on her head.
Standing before me were four girls with completely different types and personalities.
"You're living here starting today, right?"
"Nice to meet you."
"We're living together, so let's get along!"
"Well... as long as you don't do anything weird."
—And so began my communal life with four gyarus.
At first, we were just housemates.
But as we face the mornings together, laugh over silly things, and sometimes fight... as I gradually learn their true faces, a change begins to grow within me.
Before I knew it, I couldn't stay just a "housemate" anymore.
It's noisy, they're too close, and it's way more heart-pounding than I expected.
It seems my university life isn't going to start normally at all.
