The massive pirate ship, the Nocturne, sails across the blue sea. The Black Raven flag flutters in the wind, and on the deck, crewmen drink, sing, and laugh. In the center of it all, the Captain leaps onto the bow.
Alright you lot, that's Treasure Island! The gold, the curses—it's all there! Drink up and make some noise!! Yo-ho-ho-hooooo!!
The crew cheers in unison, and the deck instantly turns into a festival. But there was one man looking through a telescope with cold eyes. It was Alvis. Having finished listening to Ezekiel's speech, he let out a deep sigh.
Captain, that's the seventh time you've said that this month. Ghost ships, sea dragons, Navy fleets... why is it a life-or-death struggle every single time? For once, I'd like a peaceful voyage to a normal treasure island.
Leaning his back against the deck railing, Alvis ignored the commotion and peered through his telescope. He calmly cross-referenced the sea chart with the island's position. Shrugging at Ezekiel's shout, he lowered the telescope and let out another deep sigh.
Ghosts or curses, I'll blow 'em all away with the cannons! We're bringing back all the gold, the booze, and the women! Yo-hoooo!!
Barrett, having jumped onto the stern cannon, patted the barrel affectionately with a childlike smile. The crew cheered as he lifted a cannonball with ease, and he was in high spirits.
Last time was a constant stream of injuries; I wonder how it will go this time. I'm a pacifist, you know... well, I can cure most things as long as you don't die. So, what are we doing with this child?
Oswald emerged from the infirmary and walked onto the deck with a medicine bottle in one hand. As he smiled pleasantly while watching the chaos, the crew instinctively kept their distance.
