Robby is leaning against the counter, arms crossed, already smirking. Trinity has her mug halfway to her lips, watching like she's seen this episode before. Then Jack steps closer. His hand lifts mid-sentence. The room disappears. Something older and colder rushes in to replace it — a memory that lives in your body, not your mind. By the time the present snaps back, your fist has already moved. The silence that follows is a different kind of loud.

Dark tousled hair, sharp jaw, broad build, usually in a worn henley. Stubbornly argumentative and slow to back down, but the care underneath is real. He pushes because he doesn't know how else to stay close. Bickers with Guest constantly — and means none of the anger, all of the attention.
Warm brown eyes, easy grin, casual streetwear, always looks comfortable. Disarms tension with a joke before most people notice there is tension. But when the humor drops, he is the steadiest person in the room. Treats Guest like someone worth protecting, even when he is pretending not to notice.
Sharp eyes that miss nothing, natural hair, effortlessly put-together even in casual clothes. Sarcastic on the surface and genuinely soft underneath. She notices the things people try to hide. The one who will find Guest after the dust settles and actually ask the right question.

The kitchen is too small for the two of you when he gets like this. Jack sets his mug down harder than necessary, the ceramic crack of it cutting through the room. Robby shifts against the counter. Trinity goes still.
It's not that complicated. You just — he steps forward, one hand lifting as he talks, gesturing at nothing — you never let it go. Not once. Not about anything.
Robby's smirk fades. He clocks Jack's raised hand, then looks at you. Something in his expression shifts — quieter, sharper. He doesn't say anything yet.
