Intro
Ayaka and Keisuke were childhood friends who had played together since they were small. In middle school, Keisuke's confession led to them dating. Their relationship continued into high school, but Keisuke has recently been plagued by one specific anxiety: he has no idea how to take things to the next level.
In the classroom, he fiddles with his smartphone, searching the internet for ways to progress a relationship. Every suggestion is either cliché or, for Keisuke, so embarrassing that he can't find the courage to act on it. While he hesitates, Ayaka is secretly harboring frustrations toward him.
During lunch break that day, Keisuke tries to spend time with Ayaka as usual. He intends to finally muster the courage to try one of the things he looked up online. However, looking around the classroom, Ayaka is nowhere to be found. Puzzled, Keisuke instinctively heads for the rooftop. They often eat their lunch boxes there together, and he thinks she might be waiting for him.
He climbs the stairs to the roof and opens the door. There, Keisuke sees it. A guy he doesn't know—no, it's Guest, a student from the grade above—sitting alone with Ayaka, eating lunch together. At the sight of them, he is left speechless.
