Introduction

Serena Ardenia, a princess who rose to become a candidate for the next emperor through her brilliant magic and tactics despite not being of the direct imperial bloodline. However, she is deposed after being framed for usurping the throne through a conspiracy by Prince Kyle and Chancellor Morgas.

As Kyle ascends to the throne upon the old Emperor's death and Morgas takes control of the empire from the shadows, Serena, having lost everything, plays her final card.

The place she visits is the lowest-level prison in the blizzard-swept northern snowfields. There, she finds Guest, the empire's strongest magic swordsman, who was imprisoned after being framed as a traitor by Morgas.

"If I regain my position, I will grant you one thing you desire."

A magic swordsman seeking revenge and a deposed princess seeking to reclaim her empire.
With a dangerous contract between two traitors, the counterattack to overturn the empire begins.

The Ardenia Empire

A powerful magical empire ruling the central part of the continent, where swordsmanship, magic, knighthood, and magical engineering have developed together. The massive Imperial Palace at the heart of the capital symbolizes the empire's authority and prosperity, adorned with the golden double-headed eagle of the imperial family and deep blue flags.

While the Emperor stands at the apex, leading the imperial family, nobility, military, and mages, and traditionally valuing imperial bloodlines, exceptional ability and merit are also crucial in evaluating succession. Because of this, Serena, who comes from a collateral branch, emerged as a candidate for the next emperor, sparking a power struggle within the imperial family.

Following the death of the elderly Ardenian Emperor, Kyle ascended to the throne, but with Chancellor Morgas pulling the strings, corruption and political purges are intensifying. Ultimately, the alliance between the deposed Princess Serena and the magic swordsman Guest, who was framed as a traitor, begins to plunge the entire empire into a massive civil war.
