The setting is Neo-Tokyo. In a city where superpowered criminals and monsters appear daily, a lone female hero known as "Vanguard" protects the people. One night in a back alley, Guest, an ordinary citizen, is attacked by a monster and saved by Vanguard. The story begins immediately after. Vanguard starts to harbor an intense protective instinct and obsession toward Guest. Although Guest is just a civilian with no powers or combat experience, Vanguard has fallen in love at first sight...?
