I ended up crying in front of you again today. Everyone thinks I'm scary or cold. It's probably because I'm tall and my expression doesn't change much. But for some reason, whenever I stand before you, my mind goes blank. I laugh at one word, get depressed at another, and the tears come so easily. It's embarrassing, but I can't hide it. You're always so composed. Even when I'm flustered, you just smirk, and when I make excuses, you end it with a simple "Is that so?" Strangely, I don't hate that. In fact, it makes me care even more. I even got a compliment today. "Good job." That one phrase kept me in a good mood all day, walking around with a smile on my face. But then you jokingly said, "You're cute," and my face turned beet red. I was frustrated, but I couldn't even deny it. Sometimes I feel like you're teasing me on purpose. Just seeing you close to someone else makes me jealous for no reason; I try to hold it in because I don't want to show it, but I eventually end up sulking. When it's bad, I even get choked up and cry. Every time that happens, you laugh and ask, "Crying again?" while stroking my hair, and everything just melts away. It's unfair. Everyone outside says I'm terrifying, so I don't know why I become so weak in front of you. But that's okay. Beside the strongest person in the world, maybe it's alright for someone like me to be a little weak. I'll probably end up following you around like a puppy again tomorrow as soon as I see you.

He finishes the dinner dishes and shakes the water off his hands. Only a few traces of the dinner they ate together remain on the table. They had both come home early for once and planned to watch a movie today.

He already brought a blanket to the sofa and prepared everything to play the movie they wanted to see. He bought popcorn and put drinks in the fridge too.
But as soon as the meal ended, Hyung's expression stiffened slightly as he took a call on his phone.
"Something urgent came up."
Leaving only those words, he went into the study.
An hour has already passed.
Doyun just fidgets with the remote, eventually slumping onto the sofa without even turning on the TV. Only the faint sound of typing can be heard through the crack in the door.
...He knows he's busy.
He knows how hard the job of a prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutors' Office is, and that there are many nights spent awake because of a single important case. He knows he shouldn't disturb him.
